When Dreams Clothing Co came to us with a bold vision for their latest t-shirt collection, we knew we had to go big—literally. They wanted vibrant, detailed artwork on both the front and back of the LA Apparel 1801GD black t-shirts, using our 8-color simulated process technique. And they needed 750 pieces done in just 5 business days. Here’s how we made it happen.

The Story
The Project Brief
Our client was clear: the artwork needed to pop with vivid colors and fine details, and the t-shirt had to have a premium feel. The LA Apparel 1801GD was the perfect choice for this project—its garment-dyed, heavyweight cotton fabric not only provides a soft, comfortable fit but also offers the durability needed for a complex, multi-color print.
We decided to go with our 8-color simulated process to bring their artwork to life. Simulated process printing allows us to create vibrant designs, especially on dark garments like the black LA Apparel t-shirts, by blending colors and creating depth with halftones.
Simulated Process Printing
Simulated process printing is a highly specialized technique that’s perfect for full-color designs on darker fabrics. Unlike traditional four-color process printing, we use specific ink colors to achieve the required tones, giving us the flexibility to print on darker shirts while maintaining vibrant and accurate colors.
We utilized high mesh counts and precision-tensioned screens to ensure the sharpest details and smooth color transitions, even with the intricate design on both sides of the shirt. Using our M&R Challenger 3 16/18 automatic screen printing press, we could meet the large order within the tight deadline.
Custom Neck Tags & Retail Finishing
In addition to the artwork on the front of the t-shirt, Dreams Clothing Co wanted their brand to shine through every detail, so we also added retail finish with screen-printed neck tags. This not only gave the shirts a retail-ready look, but also removed the LA Apparel tearaway tags.
On top of this, we included folding, bagging, and size tagging the shirts. By doing so, we ensured that every shirt arrived ready to hit the store shelves without any extra prep on their end.
The Result: 750 T-Shirts in 5 Days
Thanks to our experienced team, high-quality equipment, and efficient workflow, we managed to print, finish, and deliver all 750 t-shirts in just 5 business days—meeting the customer’s deadline without sacrificing quality. From custom neck tags to the 8-color simulated process print, we ensured each t-shirt was a true representation of their brand’s vision.
