Here at Garment Decor, we are proud to have recently embroidered a hoody for the Black College Expo. The hoody was made with a very special purpose in mind—to inspire Black students and professionals to pursue their dreams and create positive change in their communities. Let’s take a look at why this project was so meaningful to us and how the embroidery came together.

A Meaningful Mission

The Black College Expo is an organization that works tirelessly to ensure that young African Americans have access to college resources and college-readiness information. It provides professional development opportunities for its attendees, including seminars on financial aid and scholarship applications, career preparation workshops, and more. We were honored when they asked us to embroider a hoody that would be used as part of their mission to empower young black students and professionals.

Creating the Perfect Embroidery Design

We knew this was an important project because they took extra care in designing the perfect embroidery for the hoody. After discussing some ideas with our client, we settled on a bold design featuring bright colors and inspirational symbolism. They chose “graduation cap” and “book” embroidered at the center of the front of the hoody. They wanted their design to embody the message of positivity that is at the heart of what The Black College Expo stands for.

Using Our Expertise To Create Something Special

When it comes to quality craftsmanship, no one does it better than Garment Decor! Our team worked hard to make sure every stitch was exactly right, ensuring that the finished product would be something truly special. In addition to using high-quality materials, we also tested multiple thread colors until we found just the right combination to make our design pop off of the fabric!

When all was said and done, we were proud of what we had created—a beautiful piece of apparel that will hopefully inspire many people over its lifetime!
